For twenty seven years I lived without Jesus. Twenty seven years of atheism, depression, anxiety, and wounds I never let heal. I carried my parents' pain and my own, and I told myself I could outrun it. I could not. The weight of it brought me to a place where I tried to take my own life.
I did not die that day, but I was not living either. I threw myself into hedonism, into pleasure, into every polytheistic and pagan belief I could find, searching for anything that would fill what was empty in me. None of it held. All of it crumbled. Every false god I built collapsed in my hands.
And in the rubble of all of it, I finally came home. I was met by the grace and glory of Jesus Christ, and for the first time in twenty seven years, I was not searching anymore. The old man, twenty seven years of him, went into the ground, and a new man was raised.
The Evolutionary Gospel exists because of that resurrection. I have devoted my life to stewarding and shepherding others into the covering of Jesus, immersing them in Scripture, and walking with them as the old self is crucified and the new self is raised. If God can do it with me, after everything I carried and everything I broke, He can do it with anyone.
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." Galatians 2:20
